30 to 40 percent of the population suffers from thinning hair or hair loss. It is hard to identify the reason behind this phenomenon, but following these remedial measures will help you prevent, if not stop it, from even ruining your life.

Mild Shampoo

It is always safe to use shampoo without harmful chemicals. Limit its use to two or three times in a week, especially if you are in no need to use hairspray or hair color on it like a celebrity. If you could find an organic shampoo without SLS or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate then it would be better. It will help free your scalp from unwanted chemicals that only hastens thinning hair.

Avoid Sweets

Studies show that too much sweet in the diet is one of the culprits for thinning hair. You are what you eat and your hair reflects this. Rather than indulging in chocolates, cookies, ice cream, and other delicious desserts prefer fruits as a healthier alternative.

Green Tea

Coffee in the morning will do harm to your body. Change it to green tea and it will not only benefit your thinning hair but it will also help minimize cholesterol and blood sugar levels for a healthier body.

Lavender Oil

This is commonly used in aromatherapy, but studies show applying this directly on your scalp over a period will help you say goodbye to thinning hair. If you want, you can mix it with water and use it as a weekly shampoo for better result.

Sleep Early

You may not realize it but sleep deprivation is one of the primary causes of many health illnesses. Give your body sufficient sleep and your hair will tell you have done the right decision. It is one of the best ways to give your body time to rejuvenate and repair damaged tissues and cells.

Drink Water

Eight glasses of water is not sufficient. It has to be ten to twelve glasses in a day. The air we breathe in has been heavily populated with toxins and the easiest and most natural way to eliminate it is through rich water fluid intake. Keep yourself hydrated and the molecules of water will help discard these toxins in your body.

Exercise Regularly

Stress is one of the factors why your hair becomes brittle. Try to de-stress your body by working out. If you do not have time for this, then go brisk walking in the morning or in the late afternoon with your dog. Choose a place with lots of trees and indulge your lungs with fresh air.
